Always provide fresh clean water for your goats. This keeps them hydrated and increases their milk production.
In the summer in Georgia it is especially hot. Most goats prefer to drink cool water in the summer to help cool off (as do people!) By providing fresh water and keeping it out of direct sunlight can help keep your water cool and encourage them to drink. You can also add ice to water to cool it further.
Though Georgia does have a fairly mild winter, there are still times when it gets cold and will occasionally freeze. During these cooler months goats will often prefer to drink warmer water. You can do this by adding fresh hot water buckets, or by buying a heated bucket or by adding a sunken water de-icer/heater.
