This is an official ADGA Show & their rules shall govern. The Senior and Junior Doe Shows are sanctioned separately for the following breeds: LaMancha, Nubian, Saanen, AOP (Alpine, Guernsey, Oberhasli, Toggenburg, Sable), Recorded Grade & Nigerian Dwarf
The order of the show is not subject to change!
An original registration or recordation certificate is required for any goat six months of age or older. A stamped duplicate or stamped FAXed duplicate application is acceptable for kids under six months of age. A copy of the registration certificate, stamped duplicate application or stamped FAXed duplicate application will not be accepted. Documents must be shown to the Check-in Agent by 8:00 am on June 19th. There will be no pre-show milk-out.
The base date for both shows is June 19, 2021. Goats must be in place by 8:30 am, June 19th - early arrivals may begin after 2 pm on Friday, June 18th.
Health Requirements: All exhibitors are required to possess a Health Certificate issued within 30 days of the show date & indicating the name & tattoo of each goat to be shown. The Health Certificate must state: “The animals being exhibited are free from any clinical signs consistent with those of foot-rot, scabies, sore-mouth, cutaneous fungal lesions, Scrapie or any other infectious or contagious disease.” Each goat may be checked by a GA Dept. of Agriculture Inspector prior to show time. Georgia goats have no brucellosis or tuberculosis test requirements. Out-of-state goats must satisfy Georgia import requirements for brucellosis & tuberculosis - regulations are contingent on state of origin - call 404-656-3667 for current regulations. The GA Dept. of Agriculture Inspector's decision will be final.
Entries should be submitted by June 12th either  online, or  mail [see address on entry form] to reach Natalie Webber by June 12th. Entry fee is $14/goat for both rings and $8/goat for ring 1 or 2. Pen fee is $8/ pen. Payment must accompany entry form & is not refundable!
After June 12th & until 8:30 am June 19th, entry fees will be $16/goat for both rings or $10/goat for ring 1 or 2. PENS MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE after June 12th and are ONLY assigned after payment has been received. Pen fee after June 12th will be $8/ pen. Payment must accompany entry form & is not refundable!
Tack pens are available for $8 each!
Pens will be assigned by order of payment. A wood shaving base is provided, if this is not sufficient you will have to bring your own. Entry acceptance will be subject to pen availability or your ability to provide pens - to ensure space for your animals, please make your reservations early.
Exhibitors are responsible for keeping the isle area in front of & around their pens clean & unobstructed.
Smoking, dipping, chewing or spitting of any tobacco product is not allowed anywhere inside the building or outside the building except in the designated smoking area.
Dogs are not permitted in the building.
Prizes will be awarded for the Best Sr. Doe in Show, Best Jr. Doe in Show.
The Show Committee has a responsibility to the ADGA & GDGBA clubs to present dairy goats in a positive manner & to maintain order.
The Show Committee will enforce regulations equally for all exhibitors. Improper [un-sportsman-like, disruptive, etc.] behavior will be handled by the Show Committee. When improper behavior is observed, the exhibitor will be given one warning. The Show Committee will explain to the exhibitor, what behavior was noticed & what actions will be taken if the behavior continues.
If staying overnight, please make sure all personal items are cleaned up and put away by 7am.
After the show make sure all personal belongings have been removed from the facility and all trash has been placed in the proper receptacle.
Children must be with an adult at all times and any type of “horse play” is not permitted.
There will be no discrimination regarding race, color, religion, sex, or nationality.
The Facility Management, Georgia National Fairgrounds or the Georgia Dairy Goat Breeders Association will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items.
